Required Bankruptcy Counseling – Pre-Discharge Debtor Education

Pre-Discharge Debtor Education is required by law before your bankruptcy case can be discharged – which means debts included in the bankruptcy are no longer considered collectible.
CCMS offers the Pre-Discharge Debtor Education course, Money in Motion. This course covers a variety of financial and budgeting topics, assuring that you have the tools necessary to build a strong financial foundation. During the education program, you will receive tips and tools for wise money management and credit use. You will also discover how to set achievable financial goals, calculate your net worth, create a livable budget, and build a savings plan. In addition, the program facilitator will share with you how to obtain credit reports, establish or re-establish credit, dispute errors, and protect yourself from identity theft.
You have three options for completing our Pre-Discharge Debtor Education program, Money in Motion Bankruptcy Education class:

- Telephone
- Online
You will need your bankruptcy case number to sign up for this class.
You will receive a username and password once you enroll in the Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Class which is required in order to start the class.
