Consumer Credit Management Services (CCMS) has over 20 years of experience educating consumers and clients about money and credit. CCMS has high standards for quality credit counseling and financial education.
CCMS is a nonprofit agency and it is organized and operated in accordance with Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. We do not pay or receive fees or other considerations for referrals of debtor students to our agency.
CCMS receives funding in the form of donations and contributions from entities that support financial education such as the federal and state governments, banks and credit card companies. CCMS also collects fees from some clients. CCMS does not pay or receive fees or other consideration for Budget and Credit Counseling Course program referrals.
CCMS instructors have completed the certification programs offered by the National Association of Certified Credit Counselors or the Center for Financial Certifications or have a state issued teaching certificate.

Declaring Bankruptcy can have significant effect on you credit score. Students with perfect or good credit can have a significant drop in credit. Students who have poor or bad credit may see little or no difference in credit. Bankruptcy can be reported from 7 to 10 years on your credit report. Credit can be repaired and can be good in a few years with the proper plan, ask for details.
- To help cover the cost of providing this program to you, CCMS charges a fee of $25.00 for the internet class and $50.00 for telephone and in-person classes.
- Payment can be made by debit card, electronic check, money order or certified check.
- CCMS will issue certificates to each spouse in a joint case. In addition, spouses attending the class are treated as individual students for the entire process from disclosure to certificate even though they are not charged additionally for the course.
- CCMS will not deny service due to an inability to pay. The fee may be waived with proof that your filing fees were waived or that your income falls below poverty level according to the US Census figures. For more information on fee waivers call 1-800-568-4545.
